Abstract

Nortel Networks commissioned The Tolly Group to compare the WAN routing throughput of its Backbone Concentrator Node (BCN), backbone router and Advanced Remote Note (ARN) edge router against Cisco Systems, Inc.'s 7513 backbone router and 2611 edge router. Testing focused on the ability of Nortel Networks' BCN and ARN (both running version 13.01) and Cisco's 7513 and 2611 (running version 12.0) to compress and forward traffic across multiple WAN links.
