Abstract

BMC Software, Inc. commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate the performance of its Optimizer for MQ version 1.1.01 software. The Optimizer for MQ software improves the performance of MQSeries while reducing the amount of resources it consumes by transparently compressing messages. The Tolly Group tested elapsed time savings and examined server CPU and I/O usage, and S/390 CPU and I/O utilization.
