Abstract
ClearBIT, A Hubbell Premise Wiring/BICCGeneral Alliance, commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate the performance of its cabling solution consisting of Hubbell SPEEDGAIN and NEXTSPEED 670 connectivity products and BICCGeneral’s copper cabling. Engineers tested 30- and 90-meter cables in basic link and channel configurations and results showed that ClearBIT exceeds all 802.3ab requirements for Gigabit Ethernet over copper. Testing was performed in December 1999 and January 2000.
