Abstract
Allot Communications commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate its NetEnforcer AC-1010, a carrier-grade traffic management device used to manage traffic at Gigabit speeds, enforce service-level agreements, and classify, monitor and control Peer-to-Peer (P2P) traffic.
Tolly Group engineers measured the zero-loss (≤0.001%) throughput of the NetEnforcer AC-1010, as well as the latency introduced by the device when handling 500,000 active connections.
Engineers also evaluated high-availability features of the NetEnforcer AC-1010 and tested the effectiveness of the product’s Quality of Service (QoS) traffic mechanisms. Tests were conducted in April 2004.
Tests show that the NetEnforcer AC-1010 delivers carrier-grade traffic monitoring and management capabilities. The NetEnforcer AC-1010 handles deep packet processing in real-time without sacrificing performance. It introduced negligible latency and delivered near real-time fail-over protection.
