Abstract

Nortel commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate a representative converged network infrastructure to illustrate the performance, resiliency and overall “quality of experience” benefits for Enterprise users of its multi-product solution.

The series of tests called for demonstrating that the switching infrastructure’s QoS can deliver converged network services like voice, data and video even when links are oversubscribed and provide resilience in the face of link and node outages.

Furthermore, tests illustrate both the Gigabit wire-speed performance and the effective QoS built into the integrated LAN switch component of the Nortel IP Phone 1140E.
