Abstract

H3C commissioned The Tolly Group to verify the performance of its H3C S7500 series high-end core routing switches, and key features that make the switch family suited to fulfill the requirements and needs for enterprise campus networks, metropolitan-area networks (MANs) and data center networks.

The Tolly Group selected one model from the H3C S7500 family for testing and verified more than 77 features for Layer 2 functions, Layer 3 functions, network protocols, security, Quality of Service, system management, multicast, and reliability of services.

H3C S7500 series showed wire-speed throughput for Layer 2 and Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections with zero packet loss even with strict RFC 2544 frames/packets tested, plus up to 9,216-byte Jumbo Frames supported. Testing was performed in October 2006.
