Abstract

Symantec commissioned Tolly to perform a head-to-head evaluation of Symantec Data Loss Prevention 10.5 vs. McAfee Data Loss Prevention 9.0. Both solutions were installed by technicians certified by the respective company.

The goal of this comparison was to examine key elements of both solutions and understand the impact on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the solutions. The test focused on key areas that can impact TCO: 1) incident remediation workflow 2) detection accuracy 3) network monitoring performance 4) solution deployment.
