Abstract

Due to the growth of interest in BYOD, Wi-Fi (802.11n) now provides the office connectivity for many businesses. Higher per-client AP throughput can reduce the number of APs required in a given location and thus, lower the customer’s investment in WLAN hardware.

H3C commissioned Tolly to validate the throughput performance of its WA3628i-AGN 3 streams Access Point with MIMO capabilities at various positions, and compare that to the Cisco Systems 3602i AP and a comparable AP from a leading vendor, denoted in this report as “Vendor X”. In tests of a single client, the H3C WAW3628i-AGN WLAN AP with the hardware Smart Array technology provided the best performance, in the form of higher throughput at all positions tested.
