Abstract

The emergence of cloud computing as a viable path for implementing enterprise-class computing solutions brings with it many opportunities. Cloud computing also challenges prospective customers to understand the actual performance delivered by various solution providers.

NTT Communications (NTT Com) commissioned Tolly to benchmark the system performance of its Cloudⁿ offering for the Japanese as well as global cloud market and compare that to solutions hosted in Japan by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Tolly benchmarked disk, overall system and memory performance. Tolly also evaluated the CPU and memory performance results as each related to the system cost.
