Abstract

Huawei NetEngine20E-S (NE20E-S) series universal service routers are high-end network products developed by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. for transportation, finance, power, government, education, and enterprise networks. They mainly serve as aggregation nodes on IP backbone networks, core nodes on small and medium enterprise networks, edge nodes on campus networks, and access nodes on small and medium education networks.

Based on Huawei’s Network Processor (NP) chip, NE20E-S routers combine non-stop routing and forwarding with rich network services such as NAT, IPsec, EVPN, GMPLS, EDGS, VXLAN as well as full IPv6 support.

Huawei commissioned Tolly to evaluate their NE20E-S series router’s high availability, table capacity, security, and other features.
