Abstract

Apollo’s go-to-market platform is presented in this evaluation as a unified sales intelligence and execution environment designed to support the full lifecycle of outbound demand generation, from target selection and contact discovery through sequencing, personalization, and campaign execution. In Tolly’s live test, the platform was used to launch a real outbound campaign for a newly introduced Tolly service, not a simulation, allowing the evaluation to assess contact quality, AI-assisted targeting, workflow efficiency, and cost structure under actual operating conditions. 


Tolly reports that onboarding and campaign launch were completed in less than one calendar week. The campaign targeted 384 prospects across 205 companies, with outbound activity capped at 50 emails per day to reduce spam risk. For the first 169 contacts that completed the three-email sequence, 76 opened an email, 14 replied, and 4 scheduled an online meeting. That equates to a 45% open rate and a 2.37% conversion rate from cold outreach to booked meeting, which the report states exceeded the cited industry benchmark range of 0.5% to 1.5% for similar campaigns. 


A key technical differentiator highlighted in the report is Apollo’s use of AI to improve campaign precision. According to Tolly, Apollo’s AI helped identify likely target companies based on company profile data, processed business “signals” such as product launches or acquisitions, and supported dynamic email customization to improve relevance at the account level. The platform also helped identify job roles and likely pain points aligned with the offer being promoted. 


The report also emphasizes data quality and operational efficiency. Of 384 emails, 361 were delivered, representing 94.01% deliverability, while some undelivered messages were attributed to recipient-side soft-bounce conditions rather than faulty contact records. Tolly further concludes that Apollo offers a true full-stack GTM platform with a unified interface and simpler per-user pricing, positioning it as both functionally comprehensive and cost-effective relative to several competing solutions.
