Abstract

The Tolly Group, under its former name InterLAB, ran a multi-vendor performance test of local Token Ring bridges. 

The IBM LANStreamer Token-Ring Network Bridge/DOS is a high-performance LAN bridge that uses to standard IBM LANStreamer PC adapters and runs in a standard MS-DOS personal computer. It achieved source-route bridging throughput of 15.90Mbps. 

In this multi-vendor test, it was only outperformed by the Cisco 4000 and Cisco 7000 networking appliances.
