Abstract

Multi-vendor test of Token Ring adapters for both Micro-Channel Architecture (MCA) and Industry-Standard Architecture (ISA) PC bus systems. 

Testing focused on NDIS drivers rather than on Novell's ODI driver. 

Tests measured throughput and calculated price/performance based on both retail and "street" prices.

Adapters were tested from: 3Com, Andrew, DCA, IBM, Madge Networks, Olicom, Proteon, SMC, and Thomas-Conrad.

This report was first published with the InterLAB brand but was re-published as Tolly report 3256 when InterLAB became The Tolly Group in 1994.
