Abstract

IBM commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate the application impact of new Ethernet enhancements - full duplex adapters and LAN switching. Testing used the IBM adapter with a Kalpana (which became the Cisco Catalyst switch line after Cisco acquired Kalpana) EtherSwitch EPS-1500 Ethernet switch. The test environments included both IBM OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 and Novell NetWare 3.11 client/server configurations.

This report was originally published under the InterLAB brand but was rebranded when InterLAB became The Tolly Group in 1994.
