Abstract

IBM Commissioned Tolly to benchmark the performance of their Nways 2210 router handling SNA SDLC 3270 and APPC traffic over 56Kbps frame relay WAN links between two, geographically separate Token Ring networks. 

SNA data throughput was between 45,812bps and 50,157bps via Frame Relay committed information rate (CIR) with SNA RU (payload) sizes ranging from 256 to 2,048 bytes.
