Abstract

Netlink Commissioned Tolly to benchmark the performance of their OmniLinx 4000 Access Nodes handling SNA SDLC 3270 and APPC traffic over 56Kbps frame relay WAN links between two, geographically separate Token Ring networks. 

SNA data throughput was between 50,000bps and 51,948bps via Frame Relay committed information rate (CIR) with SNA RU (payload) sizes ranging from 256 to 2,048 bytes.
