Abstract

Madge Networks commissioned The Tolly Group to conduct a performance evaluation of its Blue+ 16/4 ISA Token Ring adapter and Fast Blue driver line. The evaluation included comparative performance tests of the Madge Blue+ adapter, running the Fast Blue drivers, the IBM Auto 16/4 Token Ring ISA running both standard IBM drivers and Fast Blue drivers and the 3Com TokenLink III adapters also running standard IBM drivers. The Tolly Group measured the performance of both ODI and NDIS versions of the drivers under test.

Tests were run client-to-server using a single client. Servers were NetWare 3.x and 4.x along with IBM LAN Server.
