Abstract

SBE, Inc. commissioned The Tolly Group to certify the netXpand Central remote LAN access router/server as Enterprise Ready. The netXpand Central successfully completed the battery of 23 rigorous tests and was awarded Enterprise Ready certification.

SBE, Inc. also commissioned The Tolly Group to certify specific features and functions of the netXpand Central as Up to Spec. The Tolly Group awarded Up to Spec certification to the netXpand Central (see figure 2 for features and functions that were evaluated).

The Tolly Group performed 23 separate tests to verify the proper operation of the netXpand Central in a variety of Ethernet LAN/WAN configurations. A rigorous set of tests was designed to evaluate the device in various traffic profiles and conditions that would be encountered in an enterprise network. The Tolly Group tested IP routing, IPX routing, bridging, basic router functions, in-band management, security, authentication, response to network anomalies and netXpand software products.
