Abstract

ODS Networks commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate the performance of its 1094-IS series Ethernet/Fast Ethernet switching and ATM uplink modules
for the InfiniteSwitch. The Tolly Group measured the steady-state, no loss throughput of the 1094-IS series modules in various configurations that included switched Ethernet over an ATM uplink, switched Fast Ethernet, and switched Ethernet. The testing took place during April 1997. 

Test results show the ODS Networks InfiniteSwitch delivers high levels of throughput across Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and ATM configurations. Furthermore, throughput scales well as the number of input ports increases.
