Abstract

In traditional data centers, different business scenarios may use different network technologies to connect computing, storage and other nodes, including Ethernet for server interconnection, Fiber Channel (FC) for storage networks, and InfiniBand (IB) for High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster interconnection. This makes it impossible to unify the planning, construction, and maintenance of data centers in terms of network technology, which increases the construction costs and operational difficulties.


Based on the above considerations, H3C launched the SeerFabric intelligent lossless data center solution based on lossless Ethernet. The solution integrates computing, storage, network switching, data collection and control platforms, analysis and visualization platforms, and adopts new technologies such as AI, NVMe over Fabric, RoCE and iNOF to effectively improve the computing power and performance of the entire network. It facilitates the delivery of core business applications, AI, and HPC advanced computing capabilities in modern data centers.


Additionally, the solution incorporates a unified design for applications, computing nodes, storage nodes, and networks in the data center. The deployment process enables global configuration control, while the maintenance process utilizes end-to-end RoCE data collection and QP-level deep business analysis for servers and storage networks, replacing traditional black-box network maintenance. The solution supports network performance optimization with AI algorithms, adapting to multiple

scenarios in an automated and convenient manner. Through the management, control, and analysis platform, it achieves automatic deployment of infrastructure resources and AIOps, reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the infrastructure.
