Abstract

Interlab is the pre-1994 name of The Tolly Group. This is the full, detailed technical report of the results of the 1993 Token Ring Adapter benchmark. This report was confidential in 1993 and only released to the vendor participants. Tolly has chosen to make it public (in 2024) for historical purposes. The tests involved ISA and MCA architecture adapters from the following vendors: 3Com, Andrew Corporation, Digital Communications Associates (DCA) IBM, Madge Networks, Olicom, Proteon, Standard Microsystems Corp. (SMC), and Thomas-Conrad.
