Abstract

3Com commissioned The Tolly Group to benchmark the advanced performance characteristics of several LAN server adapters. The Tolly Group examined Windows NT 4.0 Server throughput across a pair of 3Com's Fast EtherLink(r) Server NICs (3C980-TX), and two other Fast Ethernet adapters: Compaq Corp.'s Netelligent Dual 10/100 TX PCI UTP Controller (dual-port adapter) and Intel Corp.'s EtherExpress PRO/100+ Server Adapter (single-port adapter).
