Abstract
Olicom, Inc. commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate the performance characteristics of its HSTR server solution against an offering that is representative of Fast Ethernet-class products. The goal was to provide the industry's first head-to-head benchmark for Fast Ethernet and HSTR. The Tolly Group focused on data streaming applications using Microsoft NT 4.0 Server, measuring both aggregate application throughput and server CPU utilization.
